A Clean Heart

There have been times in my life when everything felt heavy—my work, my relationships, and even my faith. During those seasons, despite pouring myself into others as a coach, I felt disconnected from my own purpose. My heart was cluttered with frustration, doubts and sometimes even resentment and fear; and I could sense it affecting not only my work but also my spirit and attitude.

One morning, during my quiet time, I decided to reflect on Psalm 51:10-12:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit.”

Those words hit me deeply. I realized I’d been trying to fix everything in my own strength, but what I really needed was a reset—not just in my schedule or goals, but in my heart.

I began to surrender my worries to God, one by one. I prayed for clarity and for the courage to realign my life with His purpose. Slowly, I felt my joy returning—not because my circumstances had changed overnight, but because my heart was lighter, my focus clearer, and my spirit willing to embrace His plans again.

This scripture reminds me, and maybe you too, that real #transformation starts within. A clean heart allows us to let go of what’s weighing us down. A right spirit helps us realign with God’s design for our lives. And the joy of salvation restores hope, even in the hardest seasons.

“God, create in me a clean heart. Renew my spirit, restore my joy, and guide me forward in Your strength.”

You don’t have to figure it all out at once. Transformation is a journey, and God meets you right where you are.
